About the artwork
The two gates in the picture represent life and death. The trees between the gates represent ephemeral life. The view through the first white gate stands for the entrance into life and the colorful tree landscape invites you to linger. In the background you can see the red and last gate; and the end of life is heralded by the autumn trees. It’s dark behind the second gate. The oil painting has a custom-made model frame and is titled, dated and signed on the back.
