About the artwork
In the foreground of the picture is a gate made of dark gray stones. The path and the trees behind the stone gate are inviting until you realize that the dark gate is actually the last gate – at the end of life. The long path and the colorful trees that lie in front of the dark gate change their foliage color with the length of the path from fresh spring green (in the distance) to lush summer green (in the middle part) to autumn colors at the end of the path. The painting has a custom-made model frame.
