About the artwork
The entire oil painting is dominated by tree-like plants standing on a small hill. Occasionally, small wonderful blossoms bloom in these trees. The snails, which give the painting its title “When the Snails Come”, seem almost threatening, are at the foot of the tree-like plants. The overall mood of the painting is oppressive, yet a hopeful light spreads out on the horizon. The painting has a single model frame and is dated and signed on the front. The painting is titled, dated and signed on the reverse.
