About the artwork
This painting plays with the contrast between two seasons: spring and autumn. The inner tondo (round picture) shows two mirrored tree trunks and branches. Two watery eyes look at the viewer from both tree trunks. Are they tears lamenting the loss of time? The tree tops with spring green or autumn colors are outside the tondo. The painting has a custom-made model frame with gold leaf applications and is dated and signed on the back.
