About the artwork

In the background of the picture a river rises from a rock spring. This river meanders through a landscape to the front of the picture. There the water flows into a hole in the ground and ultimately disappears. The trees along the river bank change the color of their foliage according to the seasons from spring through summer and autumn through winter. A small bird sits in astonishment in the foreground of the picture. The painting has a custom-made model frame and is dated and signed on the front and back.
