About the artwork
At the bottom of the picture there is a volcano that spits out boulders. The boulders thrown out form a large question mark. This question mark hovers over the volcano. Trees, bushes and lichens grow on the individual boulders. The trees on the rocks, arranged as question marks, depict the seasons through the representation of the leaves. The painting depicts the riddle of the beginning. The oil painting has a custom-made model frame with a passe-partout. The painting is dated and signed on the front and titled, dated and signed on the reverse.
