About the artwork
The oil painting consists of four miniatures – the four seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter). The four miniatures depict landscapes, each with a river. This rivers flow from the horizon of the landscape into the foreground of the painting. The landscape is characterised by rocks and rivers, as well as trees on the riverbank. The trees change colour with the seasons, until they are bare. The painting has a custom-made model frame and is titled, dated and signed on the back.
