About the artwork
This painting is part of a series of four oil paintings about human transience, i.e. death. In the painting “I’m waiting for you” there is a dead tree in a sea of tombstones. A skull on the tree trunk looks at the viewer and seems to whisper the caption “I’m waiting for you”. The oil painting depicts the destiny of all of us, death. The painting has a custom-made model frame and is dated and signed on the front. The painting is titled, dated and signed on the reverse.
