About the artwork
In the center of the picture is a tree on an island from which spring water pours into the landscape. There are more trees in the expansive landscape. The whole picture is shown in a day and night representation and stands for time and for life. The canvas, which has been torn open several times, ultimately threatens to destroy the picture. The painting has a custom-made model frame and was titled, dated and signed on the back.
